IT for construction firms where the job moves and the network has to follow.

Jobsite Wi-Fi and LTE. Procore and Sage integrations. MDM for foremen. Drone and IoT asset management. Project document security across GCs, subs, owners, and architects. We’ve built the IT pattern that keeps the office connected to every active site.

What construction firms face

Wire-fraud on draws. Phishing on subs. Tablets that disappear from job trailers.

Construction operates on big-dollar payments, distributed teams, and devices that live in tough environments. The threat surface looks nothing like an office — and most generalist MSPs don’t know it.

  • Draw & lien-waiver fraud
Compromised PM mailbox forwards a forged draw request with altered banking. Owner pays. Recovery is brutal. The attack pattern is well-known and well-defended — once you know to look.
  • Lost & stolen field devices
Tablets, ruggedized laptops, foreman phones. Encryption inconsistent, MDM incomplete, no remote wipe. Each loss is potential exposure of project documents, plans, financials.
  • Sub & vendor account compromises
Your sub gets phished, attacker uses their inbox to send malicious change-orders to you. Your inbox-rule-tagging doesn’t catch internal-looking mail.
  • Jobsite network sprawl
Personal hotspots, shared Wi-Fi passwords, untrusted devices joining the project network. No segmentation. Plans, drawings, financials sitting one VLAN away from a contractor’s personal laptop.
  • AI in estimating & takeoff
Estimators uploading drawings to ChatGPT for “quick takeoffs.” Proprietary plans, bid pricing, owner relationships absorbed into third-party logs. Bid integrity at risk.

What we deploy on construction projects

Connected jobsite. Secured office. Integrated stack.

The pattern works whether you’re a 25-person GC with three active sites or a 150-employee mechanical sub running 30.

Jobsite Wi-Fi & LTE kits

Pre-built trailer kits: WatchGuard Firebox with cellular failover, segmented Wi-Fi for staff vs subs vs IoT, satellite uplink option for remote sites. Stand up day-one site infrastructure inside 24 hours.

Field MDM & device fleet

Intune for ruggedized laptops, tablets, and phones. Encryption enforced, remote wipe ready, app deployment automated. Procore, Bluebeam, Sage, M365 deployed without per-device manual work.

Procore & Sage integration

Procore (or PlanGrid, Autodesk Build) integrated with M365 identity. Sage 100/300 Contractor or Sage Intacct connected to operational workflows. Single sign-on, role-based access.

Draw & wire-fraud defense

Defender for Office anti-impersonation. Vendor-banking-change procedure (out-of-band verification). External email tagging. Process-level controls around draw approval that match the technical controls.

Sub & vendor access

B2B guest invitations into specific project sites. Time-bound access. Watermarked drawings where required. Access revoked at project close — not five projects later.

Drone & IoT asset management

Drone-survey video and IoT site sensors on segmented VLANs. Storage and access governance. Encryption and retention. Field tech isn’t a free-for-all just because it’s outside the office.

Backup of project archives

Immutable backups of M365, Procore document archives (where exportable), Sage data, plan / drawing repositories. Retention tuned to project-record obligations.

Cyber-insurance attestation

Carrier questionnaire completed, controls attested, evidence delivered. Construction-specific risks (wire fraud, plan theft) addressed in the renewal documentation.

vCIO for the owner / ops VP

Quarterly business review: device fleet health, project-app uptime, security posture, AI policy, budget vs roadmap. Plain English. Tied to bid backlog and project mix.

AI in construction

AI in the field is real — and so is the bid-integrity risk.

Estimators and PMs are already using AI to summarize specs, generate RFIs, and draft owner correspondence. Used in the right tool, it’s a force multiplier. Used in a public chat tab with your bid pricing, it’s a leak. The governance layer is the difference.

  • Sanctioned tools for estimating & PMs
Tenant-bound Copilot for spec review and RFI drafting. Claude Team for long-form correspondence. Sanctioned use of vertical AI like Buildots or Togal where appropriate.
  • Bid-integrity DLP
Block paste of bid pricing, owner-confidential, or proprietary plans into unsanctioned AI domains. Browser-extension scanning. Conditional Access policies for estimating roles.
  • Field-friendly training
15-minute training in plain English. What you can ask AI, what you can’t paste in, how to verify a generated RFI before you send it. Recorded for new hires.

Common questions

What construction firms ask first.

Can you stand up a new jobsite quickly?
Yes — we keep pre-built jobsite kits (WatchGuard Firebox with cellular failover, APs, switch, optional satellite uplink, segmented Wi-Fi config) that can be deployed inside 24 hours on a new site. We coordinate with the site PM on physical placement and power so the trailer is online before the crew is mobilized.
Do you integrate Procore with our M365?
Yes. Single sign-on, automated provisioning per project, drawings stored centrally with controlled outside-access, integration with Outlook for project-bound communications, mobile MDM coverage of Procore on tablets and phones. Same pattern for PlanGrid, Autodesk Build, BIM 360, depending on which platform you use.
What about Sage support?
Sage 100/300 Contractor support including the hosting environment, integration with M365 identity, backup, and lifecycle management. For firms on Sage Intacct we support the cloud configuration and integration. We won’t replace your Sage VAR — we coordinate with them.
How do you handle device loss on a jobsite?
Standard MDM: encryption at rest, remote wipe within minutes of report, conditional access blocks lost-device sign-in immediately. Insurance-grade documentation produced for the loss. Replacement device pre-staged in our inventory, deployed to the foreman next-day.
Can you help with cyber-insurance, especially with the construction-specific exclusions?
Yes. Construction-specific carriers and brokers increasingly want documented MFA, EDR, AUP, AI policy, and wire-fraud procedures. We’ll complete the questionnaire, supply evidence, and flag gaps before submission — especially around the social-engineering and wire-transfer fraud exclusions that have tightened recently.
